In November (11/4-11/6 & 11/10-11/12), Rooftop Musical Society will take on HAIR, The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical with a book and lyrics by Gerome Ragni and James Rado and the music of Galt MacDermot. The production marks the company’s return to fully staged musicals after their pandemic hiatus. Known for creating unique theatrical experiences, it will be HAIR like you’ve never seen it before.
Enter the tribe’s fabulous Flatiron Pad (Studio 23, 22 W. 23 St FL 4 New York, NY 10010) and be transported to 1968 New York – a time when American youth lived in the shadow of the drafty and seeks refuge from society‘s strict confinement in drugs and free love. Admire the surrounding psychedelic pop-art, experience mystical map reading or even create your own protest sign before finally settling in for the journey as they explore the power of human connection in the all-pervading struggle for release.
