Palampur, Mar 13 (UNI) Ashish Butel, Congress MP for Palampur, inaugurated the Gaddi Sippy Utthan Sanstha (GSUS) community building in Panchayat Rakh on Sunday and said the Congress party and GSUS are working for the upliftment of society, whose leaders deserve our congratulations. He said that a question had also been raised in the Assembly regarding the granting of scheduled tribe status to people of the Sippy caste, but from the information provided by the government it was clear that there was still much work to be done on this issue. On this occasion, the MLA donated Rs one lakh for the construction of other works in the community hall of the institution, in addition Rs 21 thousand were donated to the institution. He added that if more castes are included in the Scheduled Tribes, the reservation scale will also have to be changed. Butel added that for this, a comprehensive strategy should be prepared at government and institution level, so that there will be no problems in the future.
