Pune, 9th March 2022: Indian Geotechnical Society Pune Chapter is organizing a one-day seminar on “Geotechnics – yesterday, today and tomorrow”. The seminar will take place on March 11, 2022, from 9:30 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. at the Sheraton Grand Hotel, Pune.
Vikas Patil (Chairman), Dr. Krishnaiah Chheva (Vice-Chairman), Suman Jain (Honorary Secretary), Annapoorni Iyer (Co-Secretary), Sunil Bhavsar from Organizing Committee briefed him during a press conference held at Pune Shramik Patrakar Sangh on Monday.
Dr Nitin Karmalkar (Vice Chancellor of Savitribai Phule Pune University), Dr NJ Pawar (Vice Chancellor), Dr DY Patil Vidyapeeth), Vikas Ramgude (Chief Engineer, Tribal Development Department, Maharashtra) are the main guests of this seminar. Major General SN Mukherjee (Former Vice Chancellor, LNUPE, Gwalior), Prof. Dr. NK Samadhiya (President, Indian Geotechnical Society), Prof. Dr. Dasaka S. Murty (IIT Bombay), President of IGS Mumbai Chapter are invited to honor for the inauguration ceremony.

Dr BJ Kasmalkar and Er. VV Abhyankar will be commended in this seminar for his lifelong contribution to the field of geotechnical engineering. A seminar is organized to honor veteran technocrats who have lived by overcoming various technological challenges in their professional careers by guiding a number of people along their journey. Indian Geotechnical Society, Pune Chapter, dedicated this seminar to the end of their 90th anniversary.
